There are more than 60 million population in Britain. The Scot take 80 percent of the total population and the rest for Welshman and Irish and so on. In England, most of the people live in the central section and the rest for Southeastern. In Scotland, most of the people live in the central section. In Wales, most of the people live in the Southern. Britain has its own unique system of family life. Most of the families are live in a extended family. What is a extended family? As you see, it is a big family group and the children are live with their parents and grandparents together. People take care of each other and the members of the family live in the same house. Children take care of the elder and give them help when they get sick. Another family style is immediate family. It is a small family group that children are only live with their parents. In this small group, parents take care of their children and grow them up. There are also many cohabitation families in Britain and this kind of family style play a important part in British family life. According to the British newspaper "Independent" reported, there are more than 2.3 million cohabitation families in Britain. Majority of them are the heterosexual family and the rest for homosexual. In fact, The British office of national statistics survey showed that people unmarried living together has become the fastest growing family unit in Britain. In m opinion, the cohabitation family will became the main family style in the Britain. Because people do not want to get married and they just want to live together and make their life in a simple way.

Hello Lex
I read your post with interest. I am happy to see you have done some research and used your own words to report on what you have found.
When you talk about 'immediate family' I think you mean NUCLEAR family.
Why do you think people don't want to get married? Do people cohabitate in China?
Thanks
Annie
Well done for including a bibliography!
